Welcome to my spooky contest - the .EXE Creepypasta Contest! Your challenge: using any medium you prefer (writing, art, audio, video, code, etc.) create a truly horrifying .EXE/retro game creepypasta. Some great examples you can take inspiration from are Sonic.exe, ihateyou.exe, and Pokemon Lost Silver. The prize: I will turn the top-voted spooky creepypasta into an actual EXE for the community to play. The rules: - Submissions begin now and end at 11:59 UTC on October 23, 2020 - this will give me a week to develop the EXE and release it on Halloween. - Absolutely no plagiarism - make something original please. You are allowed to collaborate and contribute to others' pastas. - The winning pasta must be able to be made into or at least serve as inspiration for a 2D game - 3D is far too complicated to work on for the timeframe I have. - The winner must be available should I need to clarify their creepypasta's lore during development. Submitting: DM me your pasta, and any associated images/videos/etc. I will repost it here and mention you. On October 24, submissions will close, and I will add voting reactions to all submissions. Voting will run until 11:59 UTC on October 24, 2020, after which votes will be tallied and the winner will be notified. Please please please make yourself available during the week of EXE development - if some details of the pasta are unclear or there are undocumented pathways (e.g. saying no when talking to the sign in Lost Silver), I will need to get your input to make sure the final EXE stays true to your style.
